REGISTERING AS A BRUNEI OVERSEAS STUDENT

INFORMATION

All Brunei students in Australia and New Zealand including MOE (including Doctors), DANA, BAS, MORA, UBD, SBPP, MINDEF, MOFAT, MOH, In-Service, Private and Self-funding students are required to complete register with the EAUC within two (2) weeks of their arrival. To register as a Brunei overseas student, s student can complete and submit the Online Student Particulars Form - Online SPF.












BRUNEI GOVERNMENT SPONSORED SCHOLARS
All MOE (including Doctors), DANA, BAS, MORA, UBD, SBPP, MINDEF, MOFAT, MOH, In-Service while studing in Australia or New Zealand as considered as Brunei Government sponsored students. As first time overseas sponsored students, you are also required to submit and email the following documents to EAUC at [email protected] The documents are

  • passport photo (jpeg),
  • passport details pages (pdf),
  • Scholarship Card (pdf),
  • Student Visa Grant (pdf),
  • University ID Card (pdf),
  • Information Declaration Form - IDF
  • Certificate of Enrolment (pdf),
  • Scholarship Award Letter (pdf),
  • Scholarship Financial Guarantee Letter (pdf),
  • Air Ticket (pdf),
  • Advance Allowance Statement (pdf),
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (pdf) and
  • OSHC Membership Card (pdf).

IMPORTANT
Students are advised to prepare the support document while they are still in Brunei and to email them as one submission only.

NEW PRIVATE AND SELF-FUNDED STUDENTS
Private and self-funded students, once they are already in Australia are advised to register with EAUC and submit the Online SPF and the Information Disclosure Form Private - IDFP. No other support documents are required for submission.



EXISTING STUDENTS
An annual re-registration is required of all continuing Brunei overseas students (MOE (including Doctors), DANA, BAS, MORA, UBD, SBPP, MINDEF, MOFAT, MOH, In-Service, Private and Self-funding) in Australia and New Zealand.. Students are only advised to make their Online SPF submission by the end of January each year or before the start of the new semester.


CHANGES TO YOUR DETAILS
In the likelihood of changes to your personal details, students are advised to update their particulars and make a new Online SPF submission.


WHY REGISTER WITH EAUC?
Once registered you will be issued with a unique number that we refer to as BSA No.Your BSA is your identification number as a Brunei Student in Australia. Thus the term BSA. For students studying in New Zealand, this is referred to the BSNZ No.

All Brunei overseas student in Australia and New Zealand will be issued with a identification number (BSA/BSNZ). The identification number is unique to individual student and serves to help EAUC identify who you are, and subsequently provide the right kind of assistance and support. Your BSA or BSNZ No. will help facilitate the processing of future allowances, entitlements and other facilities.

EAUC recommends that you familiarizer yourself with your BSA/BSNZ number. You need be using it a lot in your email correspondence and assigning files. For Guidelines on Using BSA / BSNZ Number.

FAILURE TO REGISTER.
Brunei overseas students are well advised to register early and within the deadline set by EAUC. Failure to register on time may lead to difficulties as they may be considered as not present in Australia/New Zealand to receive their allowance, or have not registered with their university to continue their studies. This may lead to delays in release of funds such as allowances, claim payments, tuition fees, etc.
